Hi Everyone.  Times have been rather hectic here and sadly updates on my webpage have suffered.  Along with the other work I do outside of my shop, golf clubs are being built and shipped.  I ask for your patience.  If you have a club on order it is in some stage of construction.  I have been building the clubs not in the order they come in but rather how quickly the club is needed.  During the winter, some areas are unable to use their clubs.  These clubs will be started and worked on but the focus will be shipping them and having the customer receive them by the date they specify.

If you haven't heard, there is a new podcast where the main focus is hickory golf.  The podcast is called "plusfour".  Plus fours creator and host is Rob Birman.  Rob does a fantastic job asking questions that many hickory enthusiasts are craving the answers to.

Rob graciously asked me if I would like to be on an episode.  I was very excited to do the show and speak to the hickory audience.  I had a blast!

Click on the link and if I did it correctly, it will take you to the plus four site.

Please view my "Newly added" page.  It is very easy to bury new content on this site, so when I am adding content, you will see the date and a link, making it easy to see new additions.

"New" Wooden Niblicks
"NEW".  I am pleased to announce I will be offering replica clubs made by some of the most famous clubmakers from the 1700-1800s.  With the new information acquired, I am able to come very close to the original clubs.

Here is an example of a Hugh Philp putter, circa 1800.

Let me help you build your set of playable hickories

...the way the old game used to be played.

Welcome to K. Leonard Hickory Golf.  My goal is very simple, preserve the way the game of golf was played in the 1800's.  We turn back the clock and let you experience what the game of golf felt and sounded like from that period.   When names such as spoons, brassies, play clubs and gutties were the norm.

Every club is hand built using the same materials and techniques as the club makers used long ago.   These clubmakers were very skilled at their craft, and all I try to do is follow in their footsteps.

If you would like to purchase a club for play or display, please go to my contact page with your inquiries.  Every club is for sale except P1.  If you go to "The Golf Shop" you will find a list of clubs with specs and pricing.  I will continue to add clubs to the list as they are completed.

Have a nice visit.

Kelly Leonard

I am working at expanding my company to include modern (1900-1920's) hickory irons, woods and putters.  If your thinking about trying hickory golf, don't hesitate to contact me.  I would be more than happy to introduce you to this enjoyable game.  I have equipment for sale and can also repair clubs and put them back into play.

1860 Long Nose Putter

I have a few more of these beautiful circa 1860's putters available in right and left handed models.  Please use my contact page to enquire.

Every club on the site is for sale.  Some have been sold but still remain for you to look at.  If you see something you like anywhere on this site please use the "Contact" page to enquire.
