Clan Collection

Not too long ago, I was told about a Clan golf club.  At first, I had no idea what I was hearing.  Having never heard about this company before, I had a few pictures sent to me.  Going over the pictures, the club was nice, but didn't stand out for any particular reason.

An original Clan putter was sent to my shop.  The owner wanted a club he could play with, so I set forth in building a few.  When I removed the club from the box, upon first glance, my opinion on this club changed dramatically.

The club has a beautiful shape, with beautiful doming.  It is quite heavy, weighing in at E4.  I knew the moment I saw it that this was going to be a fun project.

To the best of my knowledge, the Clan Golf Company built clubs between 1890-1894.  This was a transition period for golf clubs which is noticeable by the shorter head.  To my knowledge, the Clan Golf Company was bought by Spalding.
