Congratulations Golf Manitoba on 100 years of remarkable history.

It was an honour to bring the "old clubs" out to St. Charles C.C. for this memorable event.  Players traded their modern clubs for one hole to play with clubs and balls from the mid to late 1800's.  Like the slogan from the PGA tour, "these guy's are good", well, these guys and girls below are pretty good!

We were playing the 1st hole on the Ross nine.  It measured just over 280 yards, (Thank You to the guy who had his GPS with him).  For most, this was their first time hitting clubs from that long ago era and the quality of shots were spectacular!  Many people came to me that evening and said, "hey, I made a 4 on that hole".  I was very impressed.

With events like this I personally feed off of the participants, and it was because of them I had a smile on my face the entire day.  I was very lucky to see some old friends that day, as well as make some new ones.

I would like to Thank Wayne Leslie for the opportunity to be apart of the day.  The dinner, speeches and video's were very entertaining.  Thank You Lori and Rick for making sure the clubs and balls made it back to the tee box and were put back in their club racks.  The day just doesn't work if it weren't for you.  Also Thanks to the pro shop staff for helping get all the equipment to the first tee and back (that includes you to Lori).

In closing, I would like to Thank everyone who participated.  Embracing the challenge that you were put through and being able to laugh and have fun with it is what made this day so special.

Below are most of the groups who participated in the tournament.  My apologies to a couple groups who left the tee box before having their picture taken.
