On Monday August 24, 2014, the hickory clubs were out at Pine Ridge at the request of Quintex for an intimate nine group tournament. We were set up on the 17th hole and played the hole from the red tee's. Playing at over 300 yards the hole was very challenging and with the wind coming out of the North, keeping the tee shot in the fairway was tricky.
I applaud all who played. Your were much fun to be around. Lots of joking and laughing which always makes the day enjoyable. Hitting these clubs for the first time can be challenging but everyone stepped up and gave it their best shot. Plenty of good tee shots were hit, but that nasty North wind pushed a lot of balls to the right.
I would like to Thank David Quinton for the opportunity to spend a few hours with some great people. Thank You Janette for contacting and coordinating the day for me. Last, but not least, Thank You Ken for your efforts in keeping the clubs circulating from green to tee. You didn't miss a beat!
